Restore Your Natural Energy Through Simple Movement: Thursdays, 10/9 -12/11 at 5:45 - 7:00 PM (9 weeks, no class on 11/27) If you've been feeling emotionally stressed, overwhelmed, tense, or simply running on empty, this class offers a gentle path back to easeful, resilient vitality. Using simple, accessible movements, you'll learn how to guide your nervous system from depletion to renewal— giving you more energy for everything that matters. These classes are not intended as therapy or emotional trauma processing, though they can certainly have deep therapeutic effects. It's practical movement-based training that teaches your body to bounce back from stress, find calm in chaos, and help even out your daily flow of energy. Think of it as fitness training for your nervous system. Why This Works - Your Body's Four Natural Emotional Energy States: Your emotional energy naturally moves between four essential affective states—like the 4 seasons of your inner landscape. You have times of peaceful restoration (like quiet contentment after a good day), protective alertness (like the focus you feel when solving a problem), joyful enthusiasm (like the energy when greeting loved ones), and gentle processing (like the soft tiredness that helps you integrate life's experiences). The challenge comes when you get stuck in one state or lose access to others. Through simple movements that shift your posture, breath, and awareness, you'll rediscover how to flow naturally between these states in well-regulated, supportive ways. Willpower alone doesn't work—you can't think your way into a different energy state. But your body knows the way. By gently shifting how you hold and move your body, you can literally guide your nervous system back to its natural flow.
